For the optimal use of our vigil lamps we offer you these floats and wicks.
Place a wick into the float,make the glass half full of water, half full of oil and lit the wick.
This is a very old orthodox tradition.To lit a oil candle and place it in the front side of the icons!
SAFETY TIPS
-Do not burn oil lamps unattended, children are forbidden to use it.
-Extinguish the flame before removing the wick case and adjust the wick.
-Remove any flammable materials up close
- do not fill the whole glass with oil use half water (and more) and the rest of the vegetable oil. This will prevent the glass from overheating and causing unpleasant odors.
- Candles placed on, or near tables, altars, or shrines, must be watched by an adult.
