How to Prepare and Light Your Vigil Lamp:
Cleanly snip a small piece of the beeswax cord (approximately 2–3 cm) using a pair of scissors.
Gently slide the wick through the central guide sleeve of your free included cork float.
Prepare your vigil lamp glass container by filling it halfway with water first, and then filling the top remaining half with high-quality vegetable oil (pure olive oil is highly recommended). *The water acts as a cooling shield, preventing the glass from cracking.*
Carefully place the float onto the oil layer, wait a few moments for the wick to absorb the surface oil, and light the tip.
