How to Use Your Vigil Lamp Float:
Carefully insert a traditional cotton wick through the metal center hole of the triangular cork float.
Prepare a clean glass container. Fill the glass roughly half full of water (or more), and fill the remaining top half with your favorite vegetable oil (olive oil is highly recommended for a pure, clean burn).
Place the loaded cork float gently onto the surface of the oil. Allow a moment for the bottom of the wick to absorb the oil, then light the top of the wick.
⚠️ Essential Safety Tips for Vigil Lamps:
Adult Supervision Required: Never burn oil lamps or floating candles completely unattended at any time. Any flames placed on or near tables, altars, or shrines must be watched by an adult. Strictly keep out of reach of children.
The Water Rule:Do not fill the entire glass with oil. Always use at least half water (or more) and fill the rest with vegetable oil. The water acts as a cooling barrier, preventing the glass container from overheating, cracking, or causing unpleasant odors.
Flame Control: Always extinguish the flame completely before attempting to remove the cork float, change the wick, or adjust its length.
